Combine with a spoon at first, then knead with your hands to form a dough ball. My chocolate oatmeal bars recipe is made from a mixture of oats, chocolate chips, maple syrup, and peanut butter that are pressed into a baking pan and chilled until they become firm and chewy. It will take a few minutes to mix it all together. I do not recommend using a spoon because the batter is very thick and sticky. Step 2: Stir with a rubber spatula to combine.
